Its elegant and lively figure gave a sophisticated impression. It equipped a smoke windshield and a large headlight with 35W/30W double halogen bulbs that was combined with the blinker lamp and placed to the front. At its rear, it equipped an integrated type grab rail to make it have a strong and advanced image. It was also precisely designed to produce a high-class feeling that exceeded its class, such as adopting a plated pipe handlebar or sporty looking wheels. The 1315mm wheelbase or its light body with low center of gravity produced a majestic presence and a spacious feeling even though it was easy to operate.

It had a front disc brake with a 3POT caliper that had excellent braking ability. Also, the HONDA original “combination brake” system enabled one to transmit the brake power effectively to the front wheel just by gripping the left lever (rear brake). One could readily apply the brake with high efficiency.

PCX/PCX150 was the only Japanese model of that class that mounted the “idling stop system” which contributed to fuel efficiency, noise reduction during stop, and cut down on the amount of exhaust.

It could start in a quiet and smooth manner even from its idling stop mode, as it had an intelligent computerized ACG starter. The system operation could be switched on and off with just one button. It had good usability, such as having a stand-by indication light inside the meter display. It notified the rider of the idling stop condition.
