With the mighty factory KX450-SR at his disposal as part of his “day job”, Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team rider Clément Desalle is also a big fan of road going machinery.
When not travelling the world competing at the very highest level in motocross, 28 year old Desalle divides his time between the essential on-bike practice that keeps his MX reactions finely honed and a selection of tarmac track days that feed his other two-wheel passion, supersport motorcycles.
“I’ve always liked track days and I had used a 1000cc supersport for them previously. Then, last year, my team and Monster Energy arranged for me to do a rider cross-over with our Kawasaki World Superbike star Jonathan Rea.
He spent time with me at Motorland in Spain on a KX450-F and then we took to the track on a pair of Ninja ZX-10R KRT factory machines. I was hooked and knew I had to have a Ninja for track days”.
Thanks to the head office for Kawasaki motorcycles in Holland and Belgium, Clément’s wish came true recently with the loan of a Ninja ZX-10RR, the very model that Jonathan Rea and team mate, Tom Sykes use as a base machine for their assault on the prestigious championship.
“Clément is a local hero to many motorcycle fans in Holland and especially in his native Belgium”, commented the Manager of Kawasaki Benelux, Henk Salomons. “We are honoured to provide a bike for him and we know he will enjoy the excitement that only a Ninja can deliver.”
