Participated in MICHELIN’s test-riding event!

This time, I went to a test-riding in Tsukuba Circuit, course 1000 sponsored by MICHELIN.

Impression

There were some kinds of test-riding motorcycles so that riders could compare!
The tire used at this test-driving event was Power SuperSport EVO.
The weather was finely good, and there were many participants invited by the air of early summer before the rainy season comes.

By making the first layer of carcass 70 degrees and the second one 90 degrees, this EVO’s new technology enables the tread to be highly flexible and secures the high rigidity of side wall.
The inside structure is optimized to get rigidity as it comes to the shoulder part. I heard that the structure is effective especially for the stability while cornering.
While the tread’s surface is much softer, and the side wall’s rigidity is higher than the existing one by the folded part of cord.
It is said that this part is the most essential part of EVO. Indeed, I can feel both softness and rigidity while riding.

As a tire, it is one of the highly gripping tires which can be used in tracks.
This is not a tire for track riding which can be used in public road but a tire for usual users who mainly ride on public road.

There is a tendency to think that a tire with more powerful gripping is more suitable for those motorcycles like Panigale with a big capacity and power.
However, it doesn’t happen to Power SuperSport Evo. It transmits firmly the given power to the road surface.
This also happens to GSX-R600、MT-09. I hardly feel “the lack of tire’s gripping….” It achieves both flexibility and rigidity for the parts each element is needed.

Also, there was an explanation of the actual structure so that it made me understand theoretically.
As MICHELIN has come back to racing, this tire is the beginning of MICHELIN’s counterattack like venting its stress. So, please try it in this summer.
