The test drive we did this time is CBR 1000 RR SP.
The other day the test ride of this bike was on the public road.
As “total control” is a concept, I also felt that it can be enjoyed even on general public roads.
However, this time it is a test drive on the track.

The test ride on the public road was also nice, but it can demonstrate much better performance on the track.
It is very comfortable and enjoyable to ride.
Even if you ride at the slow pace, it will turn around the corner very smoothly.
Even if you ride at a fast pace, its control performance will not change.
I think that one of the factors is electronic control.

Even super sports in former generation, they had similar power to the current super sports.
However, it was necessary to drive with only rider’s skill, because there was no electronic control.
But, due to the addition of electronic control, you can ride comfortably even around the limit of performance.
For example, even with full throttle, wheelie control prevents accidental front-up.
Next, the traction control manages the slippage of the rear tire at the corner exit, so you can actively open the throttle.
ABS is also installed and you can make full braking, even if you are riding at maimum leaning angle.
Since there is a sense of security in electronic control, you can try to ride at much nearer performance limit.
This will shorten the time for expert riders.
For beginner riders, it will be a safety margin.
This margin will allow you to look the surroundings and control the machine easily.
I realized that this factor is the next generation super sports.
Another thing I felt is lightness.
Although weight is the lightest in this class, especially, I feel the lightness while driving.
Usually, the motorcycle can be felt heavier as the speed increase, but this motorcycle can be felt light even at high speeds.
There are three riding modes, for track riding, for winding road, for city riding.
Besides that, there is a user mode for suspension setting.
Damper setting of the suspension is possible in user mode.
Fine adjustment of the suspension is possible when riding at a faster pace.

Normally I had enough feeling to run with a preset setting that makes it the optimum setting.
In addition, when you run much faster, you need tools and expertise to adjust setting until now, but now you can set the suspension with just one button.

I think that joy of learning the suspension setting also comes up.
In conclusion, the performance is all better than the former model.
However, not only expert riders but also novices can enjoy this motorcycke at a high level.
Experts can pursue their own riding style, and biginners can also learn riding on track with safty margin.
