Title: 2016 SUGO Road Race Championship 4th Race
Date: Sunday 14th August 2016
Place: Sportsland Sugo, Miyagi Prefecture

 
Miu Nakahara participated in the 2016 SUGO Road Race Championship 4th Race from the Webike Norick Yamaha Team.
At the MFJ Cup, she missed the JP250 final so at this race she was out for revenge.

 
She made it to the final race finishing the qualifying round in 6th position.
At the final, she dropped out of the top group but did her best to make the goal at 5th place (4th among Japanese riders) after a nip and tuck battle on the circuit.
Her best lap record was 1minute 51 seconds.
She shortened her time more than 10 seconds from her last lap record which was 2 minutes 2 seconds.
She has made great progress and won fourth place which is magnificent.

 
Since she has made such great progress, we will be looking forward for future progress.
Be sure to watch out for further success in the nearby future.

Saturday
I used the special riding period and concentrated on my settings.

Sunday
Qualifying Trial
I aimed to shorten my time but I couldn’t concentrate enough to perform as I usually do.
It influenced my time and I ended up at 6th position with 1minute 51 seconds.

Final
I failed to make a good start and entered the first corner in 6th position.
After that I had trouble braking at the 4th corner because I had difficulty shifting, but succeeded overtaking at the high point corner and put myself back into 6th position.
After that I used the slip stream to overtake the motorcycle in front of me and finished the goal in 5th position.
But it was too late to catch up with the top group.
The last lap was a nip and tuck battle and I passed the finish line at 5th position.

Results
Qualifying Trial: 6th Position
I was 5th (4th among Japanese riders).

I regret the fact that I couldn’t get a good start because of my results at the qualifying round and also not being able to compete in the top leading group.
In the next race, I’ll do my best to make good results in the qualifying round.
