It mounts the newly developed light and compact engine. This water-cooled 4-stroke single cylinder 150cc engine features various equipment such as the off-set cylinder, roller rocker arm, rocker arm shaft or the shell-shaped needle bearing. By the use of its intelligent generation control system, it thoroughly restrains friction by all means. In addition, by adopting the PGM-FI to supply the optimum fuel amount, it achieves sufficient power at all rotation range, and high fuel efficiency, 49.0km/L (60km/h: proving ground test value). It also features an idling stop system which automatically halts the engine when the bike stops at red signals or traffic jams. It demonstrates excellent environment performance by reducing excessive fuel consumption or emission gas during idling stop. It equips a catalyzer inside the exhaust to make it meet the Japanese motorcycle emission regulation.
It adopts 14-inch front & rear aluminum wheels to achieve high driving stability and comfortable ride. Disc brake with small and light 3-POT caliper is used for the front brake to bring out stable braking performance. It also equips the HONDA original combination braking system that transmits the braking force to the front brake just by operating the rear wheel brake (left lever). This system enables efficient and stable braking operation. Its controllability is excellent, as it is designed to have a low center of gravity by placing the fuel tank at its feet position. The layout of its handle, seat and foot rest are all well balanced for the upright riding position.
The elegant style, that starts from its front face with a large blinker-integrated headlight to its rear short tail cowl, is sophisticated and has presence. Its mirror or wheel has this sporty image, while other detail parts, such as its plated pipe handle, pursues beauty in a comprehensive manner. It fulfills the satisfaction of ownership. Emblem for PCX150 is also equipped.
In order to make it usable for all purposes, such as commuting to work or school, it has secured 25L space under its seat. It also has a convenient 1.5L inner box inside its front cowl.
