On October 3, the second Z900RS’s teaser movie was uploaded for the first time in about a month. The newly revealed part was around the front, around the tail, muffler and so on, so that the concept of Z900RS have became to clear.
It seems that pursuit of riding performance and design, it is not just a neo classic model.

No compromise for riding equipments
Z900RS naming was also announced with showing a symbolic detail indispensable to inherit the image of Z1 / Z2 such as a round head light, a bullet type meter, a fire ball color teardrop tank and etc.
First of all, it clarified the position that it is the modern version of Z that is the origin of Kawasaki.
And in the 2nd movie on October 3rd, it seems the main purpose to appeal the characteristics of riding performance because of showing the around of the front tightly after the scene that Z900RS passed the winding road comfortably.
Z900RS’s front brake has been changed to radial mount caliper. Furthermore, it can be confirmed that a damper adjustment mechanism is added to the inverted fork bottom piece.
Because ZRX1200 DAEG was adopting full adjustable suspension, it may be a sign of intention to keep the same level as the successor.
Comparative photo at the same angle with the Z900 which is the base model of the Z900RS. We can see that a damper adjuster has been added to the bottom piece of the front inverted fork.
It seems that the brake is radial mounted based on Z900 that has the usual mount brake. Neo classic as well as riding performance is added.
Also, the curve of the exhaust pipe is gentler than the complex bend shape of Z900, and it seems that it is aiming at the appearance of hand bending style.
Design property is comparable to riding performance
Since it shows not only the functional aspect but also design aspect in the point of the detail of cast wheel with 20 pcs. spoked and plating silencer, the second movie also highlights its design.
Especially in the scene, which the rear area can be seen, the round tail cowl end that is unique to the Z series can be confirmed firmly.
Is the tail lamp set there an ellipse or a semicircle … ?! We can not distinguish it with the resolution of the capture photo, but we want to keep it for future enjoyment.
In addition, it was also found that the fin is engraved to the Z900 water cooled engine exactly. It is a neo-classical model that riding performance and designs are finished without compromise.
Fortunately, the combination of the tail cowl & lamp turned out to be Z1 / Z2 style from the movie.
And the Z900RS tail lamp is not a square shape like a Zephyr 400 as long as you watch a video from the back of this motorctcle, it will be the rounded type that is the same with Zephyr 1100 type or 750 type as the original Z.
It seems to be close to 1100 of the landscape ellipsoid, but it looks like a semicircular 750 ….
The Z900RS silencer turned out to be a rounded right one.
Unlike the tail, this part is similar to Zephyr 400.
Because it seems that the surface is also plated finish, part to be shown is finished elaborately.
By the way, the Z900 that is the base model of Z900RS was adopted an angled silencer that matches the edgy form.
It is a finish that does not seem to have the same platform.
In this movie, the close-up of the engine is also displayed, and it would be also clear that it is based on Z900.
Naturally, the rear suspension is also of the mono suspension type. In the case of BALIUS, it was released with a mono shock at the first model. However, BALIUS 2 which has twin shocks was sold later. However, it seems that there is nothing to do so in modern times. It may have considered that the twin shock tends to be avoided in Europe.
