World biggest stunt contest “Ouest Bike Show” in France

I was heading to Europe and Africa for the final two contests of this season.
The one is Ouest bike show that is the highest prize money contest in the world and the highest level competition like world championship. And the other is International Stunt Contest in Morocco that is competed with only selected top 8 riders around the world.

So , first I will write about Ouest Bike Show.
I stayed Romain Jeandrot’s house at Vierzon that city is 100km from Paris airport.
I got subway and train and headed there with my tires and baggages. It was so hard work because baggages were so heavy and big. Additionally it was rush hour in Paris and made it harder.

And Paris subway system is different from Tokyo and very hard to understand for Japanese.

Next I got Intercities after get off subway, but mostly trains were cancelled because of strike.
I heard that this is usual problem in France.

And then arrived at Vierzon and Romain picked up me to the his garage and worked hard set up my bike.

After the setting up my bike, finally I arrived at Romain’s house. And there was great french homemade dinner made by his mother.
She has great cooking skill and I was always looking forward to dishes she cooked.

In France , it is beginning of autumn , but very cold like Tokyo’s winter. Minimum temprature was just 5 degree during I stayed. Dog looks like cold too.

He is Romain’s father , He likes alcohol and I drank with him. Actualy He can not speak English but we drank so fun. Because alcohol can surpass the language border!
Although honestly I’m not good at drinking alcohol but It was very important to make communication with host family and I wanted to make good friendship with them.
I’ve traveled a lot and alcohol helped me like this in foreign country sometimes.

One of my dream came true!! Big pudding!!

After stay Romain’s house for a few days. We headed to Nantes for Ouest Bike Show.
This is opening ceremony with Aras who is Red bull sponsored rider from Lithuania.

I met Rafal a.k.a “Stunter 13” from Poland for the Judgment. He is the one of the legendary in Stunt riding scene.

I think this competition has the biggest audience in the world stunt contests.

We have 2 qualification , semi final and final.
Just top 10 riders can go to final. And there were many professional riders and very high level because prize money is the highest around the world. So , it is very hard work to be top 10.

But I could go to final and I could make the best run entire my stunt life in the final run.

I could make perfect 360 2 times and unicycle wheelie circle without big mistake , honestly I thought I could get podium place surely. But unfortunately I could not. I was really sad and upset.

This is final result. I got 5th place.

But 5th place is not bad because this competition is highest level around the world and this means I’m the best 5 riders in the world.

Competition result was not perfect for me but my run was perfect and I could know that I could make great run. This is the best result for me.
I change my negative mind and keep going to make effort for the next level!!
