Team Norick that has been led by manager Mitsuo Abe held the team organization presentation of 2017 at the River Crane head office located at Tokyo Setagaya.

 

Also this year’s season, they will continue to participate since last year with two teams namely, “Webike Team Norick YAMAHA” and “YAMAHA Thailand Team Norick”.

In “Webike Team Norick YAMAHA”, Takumi Kamiwada steps up from J-GP 2 to the “All Japan Championship JSB 1000” class. Keito Abe who is 13-year-old steps up from S80 to the “Tsukuba Road Race Championship J-GP 3” class.

From “YAMAHA Thailand Team Norick”, Keminth Kubo who participated in 3 Area Championships of Motegi, Sugo and Tsukuba and also participated in Suzuka 4 endurance race participates in the “All Japan Championship J-GP2”.
Also, to the “Asian Road Race Championship SS 600” class, he will be participating from “Yamaha Racing Team”.

Kamiwada made steady progress in ranking 12th in J-GP 2 class in 2015 and 6th in ranking in 2016. And this time, we aim to win domestic highest race “JSB 1000” with YZF-R1.
Abe is going to join the J-GP 3 with the machine, which is modified the frame of TZ 125, and equipped with YZ250F 4 cycle engine.

Compared to GP3 exclusive machines such as Honda NSF250R, it will be challenging under severe engine power, but Abe manager’s policy is to fight in the harshest environment as a step-up to the future.

Kamiwada has experienced 600cc class race for a total of 3 years. One year for the Japan Area Road Race Championship ST600 and two years for the All-Japan Road Race Championship J-GP 2 class. And he was over 20 years old. So I decided to endorse him to JSB class.

“The race by YZF-R1 that is almost a standard specification is expected to be a very difficult race. But, anyway, I would like to aim at the top with rider’s hard work and teamwork.”

Also, Keito Abe has been on the 4th year of this team since entering Team Norick at the age of 10.
Last year, he experienced Motard and the S80, and won the East Japan S3 area champion at Motard. This year I am going to challenge the J – GP 3 class of Tsukuba Road Race Championship with a machine with a modified TZ 125 frame and a YZ 250 F engine.

Although we can not deny the inefficiency of the engine compared to the GP 3 machine, we think that improving cornering speed, technical and rider improvement, we will fight in harsh environments.
I believe that the experiences he gained under harsh environment will surely be applied in the near future.

“Thailand YAMAHA team Norick” will make full participation in the All Japan Road Race Championship J-GP2 class with Keminth•Kubo (17-year-old) who fought out regional championships in 2016. He will fight this J-GP2 by the machine that was been riding by Kamiwada last year.
From Yamaha Racing Team, Keminth will also participate in the SS 600 class at the ARRC (Asian Road Race Championship). I think it is quite difficult to win, but it is possible to have a fairly interesting race.

This three riders have a potential. I would like to support all of them as much as possible to be a MotoGP rider from this team that Nori Abe made to raise GP riders.
