New cylinder head realizes a new air flow that further improves the effect of down draft. By optimizing the intake port shape which becomes more straight intake for the 2016 model and the layout of the collecting part of the exhaust port, it is possible to improve the intake / exhaust efficiency and increase the intake flow rate. The intake and exhaust cam profile is also optimized, both the intake and exhaust cams are increased in the maximum lift amount, the reinforced valve spring is incorporated and the valve seat diameter is expanded. Together with these effects, it combines excellent low and medium speed performance with pulling power & power feeling that is outstanding at medium and high speeds. YZ potential has evolved again.
