The short cowl for the GSX-S1000F was developed by Shimizu after he test rode the GSX-S1000F and he really wanted to make it.
The current GSX-R1000 engine is very easy to handle, but GSX-S1000, which uses the engine from the previous generation GSX-R1000, has a rough and spartan performance.
