All models from 1999 onwards have a single-sided swingarm, and the sprocket mounting dimensions are the same for all models.
The sprocket design for the single-sided swingarm is strictly limited, but Sunstar has achieved a lightweight and well-designed sprocket within our design standards.
[Long life of the drive system brought about by high precision]
Because sprockets require roundness due to their characteristics, Sunstar processes the inner diameter, pattern hole, mounting hole, and teeth in this order.
This process makes it as close to a perfect circle as possible.
As a result, the high-precision sprockets minimize not only the wear of the sprockets, but also the wear of the chain.
[Reasons for Aluminum and Made in JAPAN]
The highest strength aluminum alloy "Super Duralumin (A7075-T6)" is used.
The weight is about 1/3 of the weight of stock iron.
The sprocket that rotates at high speed should be as light as possible to reduce friction loss, and as a result, fuel consumption and acceleration will be improved.
All of the materials are made in Japan, and all of the production processes are done in Japan.
Sunstar is a purely Japanese product.

Sunstar uses hard anodizing to increase the durability of the sprocket.
It is about 1.5 times more durable than general anodized aluminum, which is only used to prevent corrosion (Sunstar comparison, average value).
It also prevents the color from fading due to ultraviolet rays.
The natural champagne gold color of the hard anodized aluminum also gives it a chic and luxurious finish.
