These are used to improve the setting range and operating performance.
By changing the oil to #5 of the super low viscosity special oil called SS15, which is also used for works vehicles of various manufacturers, the damping force can be produced more stably at high and low temperatures, and friction loss can be reduced by 20% or more.
It has the control to cope with the bumpy road on the winding road quickly.
In addition, OIL itself is usually #10 or #15, but when it is cold, it does not work well, and when the temperature rises, the damping force disappears. In this specification, #5 is used to show stable initial performance even in the cold of winter, and to maintain high performance without heat dripping even when driving under the hot sun in midsummer.
The technology of ADVANTAGE SHOWA that can achieve the performance with such a low viscosity OIL is still amazing.

[2] In terms of what is important for suspension, focusing on the attitude change.
ADVANTAGE tends to focus on the amount of stroke and damping force, but the most important thing for the bike is the posture.
Advantage believe that it is important to create a posture that suits the rider, because if the posture is distorted, the whole system will be distorted.


In ADVANTAGE, the strike zone is set at 180cm in height and 75kg in weight.
Assuming a rider of 180cm in height and 75-80kg in weight, the stock suspension is a little soft.
It's too good footing position.

In addition, most riders change their tires to aftermarket products at a supply store.
They are sold only as high performance tires, and the height of the tire is lower than stock.
There lies the problem.
If you just replace the stock rear shocks or the stock shocks, you will end up with a butt drop in general.
Taking these factors into consideration, ADVANTAGE designs and decides the posture based on our various experiences.

[3] Since ADVANTAGE already has a completed RS-X, they don't have to start from zero. 80% of the RS-X is already completed, and they have to add 20%.
ADVANTAGE started the renewal work and paid attention to the oil seal, dust seal slide metal and guide bush.
With the stock front forks, when the vehicle is under braking conditions (deep nose dive), the slide metal and guide bushes exert a strong load on the suspension, causing it to move sluggishly and induce chattering.
These are suppressed by using high-precision slide metal and guide boules.

The role of the fork oil is to reduce the repulsive force between the springs in the fork and to prevent friction and wear.

To test the compatibility of these components, the suspension is subjected to a continuous load and thoroughly evaluated for rod damage and oil leakage during a test of one million strokes.
Advantage has selected products that have passed these performance evaluation tests and made them into finished products.
As a result of these tests, ADVANTAGE has achieved low friction and high durability.

[4] As many years have passed since the old RS-X was released in 2007, the strike zone of each model has become clearer.
To reflect this, the strike zone has been made clearer than ever before.
For example, if the adjustment range was only 10 clicks, Advantage increased it to 20 clicks, and if it was too many clicks, Advantage narrowed it down to 20 clicks.
Too much adjustment range is not adjustable, and too subtle range is disturbing.
It is often heard that the suspension of foreign products has a range of adjustment from one to three riders, but the motorcycle is not a universal product.
Since the performance of a vehicle is determined based on the vehicle, conditions, and character, a wide range of adjustments will ignore the character of each vehicle, and as the saying goes, "two heads don't make a right.
Advantage has special settings and configurations for each model.
When shipped, it should be aligned with the center and have an up / down range of 10 clicks.
If anything, ADVANTAGE tries to give more adjustment range to the positive side.
The shock length can be adjusted by at least 5mm from the current length.
The hydraulic initial adjuster of RS-gamma is also adjustable by 2mm x 6.

Advantage has released the new RS-Gamma which has a more reliable hydraulic initial adjustment adjuster for the spring.
There is no problem that the hydraulic adjuster cannot be turned by hand, which is common in overseas products.
The RS Type is available in two types of screw initial adjusters as being full adjustable.

[7] Of course, the base is the old RS-X, so RS-X can be upgraded by using the repair parts of RS-γ.
In addition, since the suspension settings change depending on the individual machine, ADVANTAGE is also considering after sales service for this aspect.
There are many things that can be changed by changing the parts that make up the shock.
There is a lot of potential for custom vehicles, and we are working hard to meet that potential on an individual basis.

[8] Above all, the body is all forged aluminum.
Steel is only on the rod.(Rod has no choice but to use steel because of his physical strength)
Aluminum forging is the best for physical strength (strength and durability), but since it encases oil, aluminum dissipates a lot of heat, unlike steel bodies which dissipate oil temperature.
In other words, the oil temperature drops and stability increases, which is a big gain.
It is quite difficult to maintain a stable decompression, but this model is able to meet this high challenge without difficulty.

[9] Regarding the ride height adjustment function, it is available as an option or as an actual product.
In fact, this part is not machined from aluminum round bar, but machined from forged blank, please refer to the following for the biggest merit of forged product

The screw stays where it needs to be (where it can be safely used) and is designed with a stopper to prevent it from falling out, which greatly contributes to safety.
The adjustment range can be safely adjusted within ±5mm from the center set position.
