However, this is a two-point bolt-on only for the top and bottom of the engine, which could bend during a major fall and also damage the bolt holes in the aluminum engine.

It is wider than its predecessor to protect the fog lamps, but the potential for bending is greater than before.
R-style engine guard
The "truss structure," which boasts the highest structural strength, is used with three points of fastening on each side, and the left and right guards are connected by upper and lower tower bars.
Impact received on one side is dispersed and absorbed by both guards.
The load on the bolt holes is reduced to a minimum.
