[Description]
This baffle will change the distinctive, harsh sound of Vance & Hines exhausts to a pleasant bass sound suitable for Harleys!
Pine Valley has developed the "Kodo" baffle that changes the high-pitched crunching sound of "Short Shot Staggered" and "Twin Slash" into a heavy bass sound.
Features of the "Kodo" baffle
■Achieves a sound quality (heavy bass) that is hard to believe for a Vance & Hines exhaust.
The unique crunching sound of the vance tube is now in the bass, a clean bass sound without the floppy metallic sound of the quiet baffle.
■Power is not reduced nearly as much as standard baffles.
Characteristics of each baffle + power of Sportster XL1200 with short shot and twin slash injection tuning (Pine Valley measurements)
・Standard baffle
Since it is only a lump of steel, it is a crunchy blast with grating highs and other miscellaneous sounds.
Power: Approx. 76 hp Pine Valley 80 hp.
・Quiet baffle
The sound is muffled by a closing plate in the middle and glass wool wrapped around the outside, but the metallic sound of the exhaust hitting the closing plate is grating.
The sound will be low.
Power: Approx. 67 pine valley 70 hp.
・Bass baffle Kodo
The metal parts are perforated like the walls of a music room for a clean sound.
It also maintains an inside diameter that facilitates bass and power.There is no closing plate, so the exhaust air does not hit metal, resulting in a clean sound.
In addition, high-pitched sound is muffled by high-quality glass wool wrapped around the outside.
The result is a clean bass sound with no clutter.
Power: Approx. 75 pine valley 78 hp.
■Volume is only slightly lower.
■High-quality glass wool for exclusive use
Manufactured from a different material than regular fiberglass, the density is about three times that of standard baffles.
Highly heat resistant with a safe working temperature of 700°C (normally 200 pineapple valley 600°C).
Higher density than usual + longer fibers + needled fibers for longer life.
■If the exhaust is changed, we recommend injection tuning.
What is injection tuning.
Also known as "fuel adjustment, " this is the process of adjusting the air-fuel ratio to normal, which may have become off due to exhaust replacement or other reasons.

*We do not accept glass wool assembly work.
*Glass wool is dense and thick, so please wind it while compressing it with the tape included.
*This product is made maily from iron, due to the characteristics of the product, it is not rust-proofed.Therefore, even if it is in a new condition, it is oxidized (rusted).Rusting is not a problem in use.If rust is a concern, it is recommended that the rust be removed before installing the exhaust.
*If you don't tune your engine, you may have trouble with afterfire.
*Some modifications may be required depending on the compatibility of the baffle and exhaust.
*White smoke will be emitted for a while after installation, but this is not a problem as the stretch film will dissolve quickly.
