High strength cam chain tensioner that can follow the cam chain and keep the proper tension is lined up!
■Details
SP Takegawa's tensioner arm is made from super duralumin material which is very strong and thick to increase the strength of the arm body and also to increase the contact area to the push rod.
This reduces the risk of the rubber at the end of the push rod caving in or breaking, and greatly improves the life of the push rod.
An oil hole is provided in the arm body to lubricate the moving parts with oil.The arm surface is hard anodized.
■Comparison of stock tensioner arm and SP Takegawa tensioner arm
The stock tensioner arm is made from a plate material, so the contact area with the push rod is small, and the rubber at the end of the push rod sinks into the shape of the plate thickness.
If you use it for a long time with a high power engine, the stock tensioner arm may be deformed and the push rod head may be damaged.
In this case, the proper tension is not applied to the cam chain, which may cause engine trouble.
SP Takegawa's tensioner arm is made from super duralumin material which is very strong and thick to increase the strength of the arm body and also to increase the contact area to the push rod.
