London 2017 Square Large FB 1280x12801 - Amazing exhibits from the ‘Bike Shed’…..

This year, Öhlins has teamed up with the visionaries at the Bike Shed London for their annual show of jaw dropping customisation, which looks set to be the biggest one yet! With support for any builder utilising ‘Swedish gold’ on their creations, Öhlins are also helping bring over a very special exhibit; the Ballistic Trident from Rough Crafts, Taiwan.

Taking over the iconic Tobacco Dock in Wapping, right in the heart of London, the three day event sees the best custom bike builders descend upon the Capital to showcase their latest creations, with visitors and exhibitors from all over the globe in attendance.

Thanks to a unique new invitational element for the curated machines on display, the 2017 show will see plenty of exclusive machines on show alongside plenty of reveals and launches from the pros, shed builders and even manufacturers. Add in live music, entertainment, a barbershop, tattoos, whiskey bars, a cigar lounge and plenty of gear on sale and you’ve got a lot more than just a standard motorcycle show!

After the success of the 2016 show, the Bike Shed team are expanding not just in size but quality too. Accepting machines from every sector; cafe racer, scrambler, tracker, bobber, brat-style and new-wave custom visitors will be seeing brand new machines that haven’t been seen anywhere else in the world, all by invite only.

The Ballistic Trident is based on the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR but is barely recognisable given the level of engineering, although it retains the signature MV logo as a nod to the iconic factory race machines of yesteryear. Featuring an aerodynamic trademark of history (which is now banned!) the machine stuns with its ‘dustbin fairing’ plus acres of carbon fibre shrouding and vents.

Öhlins FGR forks and TTX shock are mated to a Beringer brake setup with a HP Corse exhaust, which keeps MV Agusta’s ethos of a tri-exhaust following the lines of the bodywork, wheel and single-sided swingarm.

This is the first time Öhlins will have an official presence at the event, and we’re very excited to see some of these machines and meet the guys behind them! The custom scene is continuing to grow globally and just last year we launched our Retro 43 universal forks which are ideal for builders – whether you’re a professional or shed builder!
