HONDA VFR1200F Dual Clutch Transmission Specification
Dual clutch transmission (DCT) specifications are added to the VFR 1200F that appeared in March.DCT is a stepwise automatic transmission which is fundamentally different from the former Forza 's Honda S - Matic and DN - 01' s HFT.The main shaft of the mission has a double structure, with 1, 3, 5 speed on one side and 2nd, 4th, 6th gear on the other side, each equipped with a clutch.When the ECU judges that it is a shift change point, the system is configured such that the paused main shaft is shifted to the next gear, and the next momentary clutch is switched to complete the shift.As a result, it is only a short time for the clutch to switch over as the power transmission is interrupted during gear shifting, so a quick shift change with little shock is realized."AT ・ D mode" which is advantageous also for fuel economy in general driving, "AT ・ S mode" which uses a higher rotation range, "MT mode" which performs shift up / down with the switch of the left grip section, 3 The type of speed change mode can be selected.Although basic structure other than mission does not change, fine adjustment is added to the tone, ignition timing etc. according to its characteristics, and the gear ratio is also changed.The vehicle weight also increased by 10 kg.
