OVER x SUNSTAR collaboration model is finally available for Z900RS.
The highly accurate floating system improves strain resistance and prevents the rear brake feeling from deteriorating.
The disc is specially designed for braking operation by enhancing the affinity with Brembo calipers.
The new design provides the rider with a sense of security and control, even for sport riding or winding roads, which require delicate control.
Big rotors for the front and floating rotors for the rear are available.
Each of them will be introduced in detail.
First, let's look at the front.
The floating type is available in two types, Semi and Full as well as split into TypeA/B depending on the type of Brembo calipers.
The outer rotor is a completely original design.The design was made through discussions with SUNSTAR without compromising heat removal, weight reduction, and design.
Rotor diameter is 310mm (stock +10mm) and plate thickness is t5.5 (stock +0.5mm) to increase stopping power, while pad effective width is narrowed to 33mm (stock -2mm) to minimize weight increase.
By optimizing to match the Brembo calipers, a disc that can fully bring out their performance was sought.
It combines reliable stopping power and controllability.
The rotor diameter could have been 320mm, but we chose 310mm to find the right balance of control and weight for city riding and winding roads.
We developed this product with the safety and security of each and every rider as the top priority.
Of course, the brake system also supports the rider's precise brake operation during sports riding.
Next is the rear disc.
The rotor size is the same as before, but it is now floating.
