Z750FX-II which pursued the joy of driving with a light body. It upgraded the engine of Z650 by 4mm and made it 738cc. The maneuverability was excellent as had been expected.
Modified the exterior of the FX-II, such as its square tank. Though it equipped a semi-air suspension and an adjustable rear suspension, it only lasted one year and passed the torch to Z750GP.
Though it is based on the Z750FX-III, it became a long remembered model, for it was the first to equip the computerized injection/dfi as a commercially sold Japanese market model.
It was the second YAMAHA "750" model, and to everyone's surprise, it mounted a DOHC 3 cylinder engine. It was a model with an innovative mechanism such as its drive shaft.
As it underwent a full model change in 1988, it only had some minor parts revised this year, such as the gear ratio change or the adoption of stainless steel cover on the exhaust.
Based on the second generation KATANA (GSX750E), this new SUZUKI GSX750S, which was an in-house designed model, was brought in the market. It was the Japan's first model to adopt the retractable headlight style.
KATANA has adopted the trendy style: 16-inch for front and 17-inch for rear. The details of the engine were revised and its power were upgraded by 3PS. lts handle and seat were also changed.
GSX1100S was remodeled to 750cc to be put on the Japanese market. However, due to the regulations at that time, the handles had to be raised and the windshields removed. It discouraged the fans, for it looked nothing like the original KATANA.
Brought to the market as a standard 750cc sports model. It adopted the traditional air-cooled DOHC FOUR engine and right & left twin exhausts. It is also marked by its long wheel base.
