It had a frame that was illimitably close to the WORKS YZF model. The production of the SP version was limited to 1000 units and it was designed for race. It was equipped with a cross transmission. -

SP, the base machine for race, was the only type sold as its MY94 model. It had a standard FCR carburetor and a cross transmission. Its front and rear suspension could be fully adjusted. -

It is a genuine Formula 3 bike, which had a kit for the F3 race on the body of FZR400 and was given a tune up. The suspension system was also set for circuit course driving. -

A FZ400R without a cowl. The specification was the same, besides its square headlight and its black silencer. Its weight had been reduced by 1kg. -

It was designed based on a concept different from XJR. It mounted an almost completely new water-cooled DOHC Four engine on its double cradle frame that was reminiscent of a racing machine of the 70s. -

The 79-degrees V-twin was based on the engine of XV400 VIRAGO. It was completely remodeled to strengthen the pulse feeling, and was mounted on its newly designed frame that had a low posture. Its obedient handling movement also fascinated the fans. -

It changed its drive system from shaft to chain. The inverted front fork made its traveling manner very sporty. The "X" model had a bikini and an under cowl.
