SUNSTAR Front sprocket 525–16T
Prices were about the same as OEMSprocket.
There is a Black color surface treatment that hides it but looks good.
The weight is lighter than the OEM model due to the lack of rubber for running noise control. The installation itself is not too difficult, but when working alone, you need to pay attention to safety by properly securing the motorcycle so that it does not move.

The teeth are in good shape!
Sprocket from MADE IN SUNSTAR, which I have purchased so many times that I can't remember how many times I have already purchased it.
I have also purchased a Chinese Sprocket, which was quite expensive.
However, none of those cheap Sprocket products were decent.
Even those cheap ones are certainly usable, they don't crack or chip during use, and they are not less durable.
The roundness may be inferior to SUNSTAR, but the difference is not felt in driving, nor is the roundness so inferior that the tension of the Chain changes depending on the rotational position.
So why go to the trouble of using expensive MADE IN SUNSTAR, which is the life of Sprocket? Tooth Shape This is because the
Since the shape of the teeth is determined by standards, there are considerable differences when comparing new products, even though they appear to have the same shape.
The shape of the tooth, which extends upward from the bottom of the tooth, is particularly important, and as an eye test, there is about a 0.1mm difference in shape among the companies.
It can be driven securely by any SprocketManufacturer and will not snag or slip out.
However, the shape of this part is excellent for MADE IN SUNSTAR, and it is very smooth to hang on and off the chain.
This is an area that cannot be determined by turning the Tire, but only by actually riding the vehicle and applying the drive Torque.
In a poor Sprocket, the Chain Roller cannot move the teeth of the SukROCKET to the Smooth, which inevitably results in a snagging feel.
The difference is really miniscule.
Any Sprocket will go from a reduced Sprocket to a new Sprocket, so it will be Smooth and should be very hard to notice.
But if you change the new Sprocket and Chain several times during the day and compare the runs, you will notice that only the SUNSTAR has a smoother drive.
If I can buy MADE IN SUNSTAR, I will never buy another company's product again, especially a cheap Chinese one.

Simultaneous purchase at the time of Chain replacement
Purchased in conjunction with Chain replacement.
*Buy and replace both front and rear.
It is recommended to replace it with Chain at the same time.
Shift has also changed so much that it is easy to get into and back to the way it was in the new car.

Be careful not to overuse
The teeth were not worn down that much, but I thought it was time to replace them, and since the chain was just before the limit of elongation, I replaced it with a new one. I was surprised when I removed the one that was attached to it.
It was worn down to the Reverse side's wall removal Limit.
(By the way, it is not MADE IN SUNSTAR)
Be careful, as you can't tell without removing it, and replace it as soon as possible next time.

Zr-7 is now 520.
We have finally achieved the 520Conversion of Zr-7 that we have wanted to work on for a long time.
Since it is not a part that is changed frequently, I installed one Up 17T while I was at it.
My personal impression is that the speed increases after the Engine speed exceeds 5,000 rpm, and it feels more comfortable than with the 16T.
I also did not feel any particular sluggishness in acceleration when starting to open the door from the low RPM range, so I have a good feeling about it in general.

Easier to ride.
Replacing the FSprocket has expanded the range of use of 3rd and 4th gears!
Before the replacement, I had to immediately go up to 5th gear, but I think it has become much easier to ride.

Mounted on V-STROM 800DE
[How is it used?
Installed as front sprocket on DL1000 V-STROM800DE, replaced OEM 17T with 15T.
Was the one you received as per Image?
I was worried about the fit until I opened the package and fitted it, but it was perfect.
Was the installation difficult?
The installation itself was easy, but the 800DE has a very stiff nut that holds the Sprocket in place. (with Screw lock agent) The old Sprocket was removed using an 18V Impact Driver.
How was your experience with it?
Speed in 1st gear Idling has dropped to 13km/h→10-11km/h. I want to lower the speed a little more, so I am considering changing to 14T.
[Included Parts:were they on?
Included Parts:were not available.
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
Not particularly
Point and hang of installation
As you can see from the service manual, the fixed nut is rigidly assembled, so be careful. It is advisable to prepare a screw lock agent for replacement and reassembly.
[Availability and clarity of the Instruction Manual
There is no Instruction Manual, but it is thought that you will not make a mistake if you refer to the original Sprocket for the reverse side.

It would also be helpful to have a lineup of Smallest Sprocket. 13, 12T, etc.

19T→20T on SR400final
Since I use the highway a lot, I have a complaint that my hands get numb from the high RPMs when cruising at 100 km/h.
Before replacement Meter reading 85km/h 4000rpm After replacement 91km/h 4000rpm
High-speed cruising became much easier.
Acceleration is naturally reduced, but this is not a problem since this is not a motorcycle that requires acceleration.
Replace Rear with 56T→51T as there is still room in Torque at 100km/h.
XAM XAM:A3207X51T
High-speed cruising is now comfortable. 100 km/h 4000 rpm.

OffLoader for touring and mountain play should have two Sprockets!
I installed 15T for long swing for touring.
For KLX250, Clearance is Limit.
A 16T made by another company also exists, but I don't think it is possible to install.
When playing in the mountains, F13T R53T Secondary reduction ratio 4.08
When touring, F15T R53T secondary reduction ratio 3.53
and FrontSprocket are used interchangeably.
With two FrontSprockets, you can do both mountain riding and touring on a single motorcycle.
It is recommended for the well-traveled TRAIL rider OffLoader who wants to enjoy both.
The FrontSprocket of the KLX250 is tightened with an Oni Torque, so those who frequently replace it will have a hard time without an electric Impactetc. tool.

Rear Sprocket:SUNSTART Rear Sprocket Duralumin (https://www.webike.net/sd/20394294/)
Was the one you received as per Image?
The product is exactly as shown in the image.
The product is packaged in a cardboard package with a small paper Instruction ManualQuantity:Only 1 pc. was included, and there was no weird Vinyl or anything like that, so I could just send it to the waste paper collection and be done with it.
The same number of holes as the OEMSprocket, but with many holes that look like they have been cut out of the meat, and the appearance is different from the OEMSprocket in that it looks like a large hole.
Heavier and sturdier than it looks, probably due to the material.
Was the installation difficult?
Although it is not a problem of this product but a problem of the car Both Sides, the load to the Chain accompanying the replacement of the Sprocket Mounting Bolt seems to be great because the fixing method of the Sprocket Mounting Bolt is mainly to fix it using the Chain.
Attached imageQuantity:The fixing part of the nut that bites into the bolt (see 1pc. eye), the instruction to stop the nut from loosening, the 85 N-m tightening torque instruction, and the fact that the aforementioned fixing is only done by indirect means makes it very difficult to remove the nut.
When the length of the spinner handle exceeded the length used for tightening, it was possible to replace the handle without a power tool.
As long as the Nut is removed, it can be installed by simply aligning it with the groove and pushing it in.
It was also possible to tighten with a 525 Size Chain, which is different from Sprocket.
I felt that this would be a reason to further recommend a 3-point replacement of the drivetrain, since the main method of replacement would be to put a load on the Chain.
How was your experience with it?
Single body evaluation of this product is not possible due to the replacement of the front sprocket, chain, and rear sprocket only.
No impact on Meter due to the same number of pins as OEM
Although the durability deterioration caused by the Conversion is a cause for concern, we did not encounter any problems even after driving more than 30,000 km, and the teeth did not seem to have been ground off. (Although it would be a problem if the teeth were visibly worn away.
Difference of acceleration by Conversion is unknown due to lack of subtlety.
I tried to think of a reason for the difference between the OEM and the mysterious component, such as to facilitate the movement of the chain, or to provide soundproofing, but could not detect any difference.
I think it says something about a new circle, but I only use Sprocket made by SUNSTAR, so evaluation is impossible.
[Included Parts:were they on?
Instruction Manual is included, which only describes the orientation for installation by Conversion.
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
I would say that the price may have gone up quite a bit in a short period of time. At the time of purchase, I thought the price was the same as the OEM price, but when I checked today, I found that the OEM price was 3,894 yen, which is the difference between the OEM price and the Large price. As for the product, I am not at all dissatisfied or disappointed.
[Notes]
As I think it is mentioned in the Instruction Manual, if the installation direction is wrong, the flow of the Chain will be strange and possibly dangerous.
[ITEMS TO BUY TOGETHER
Chain, Rear Sprocket, Hub Damper, OEM New Nuts, Bolt Loosening Stopper, Chain Oil, Chain Cleaner
Both the body and the Included Parts:are battle-specific products that eliminate waste to the utmost limit. At the same time, it is a product that can withstand the long distance travel for touring use, and is a product that gives us a sense of trust as a manufacturer that would be our first choice for replacement.

ligh weight
I ordered a 520 conversion kit for my Hayabusa 1300R which include Sunstar front sprochet 17 teeth same stock size (stoch with 530 size). The Sunstar front sprocket has super ligh weight, full kit include DID 520 ZVM-X chain 116 link , front sprocket 17 teeth and rear sprocket 43 teeth weight only about 2.5kg, I think I've lost 50 percent of the weight. 16TSprocket
I am satisfied with Large, although the satisfaction level may not be indicated correctly.
The replacement was aimed at reducing fuel consumption and increasing cruising range when touring.
In order to make the DIY project as cost-effective as possible, we decided to replace the FrontSprocket first.
As a result, the rpm at 100 km/h on the highway dropped about 500 rpm on the meter reading. Do not think that it is only 500, but my car turns about 5000 rpm in 100 km, the longer the distance, the more large the effect will be. The fuel consumption of the important thing also fell by the change of ECUData, but it recovered to about 18 km/L by touring at a common sense speed.
In the future, we are planning to convert to a 42→41 car using the OEM Ninja 1000 Rear Sprocket to further improve fuel economy.
It would be great if Total's rpm could be lowered by 1000 rpm at 100 km/h….
It does not require much skill to replace the nut, but when removing the nut, a Torque Impact wrench with 600N-m or higher is required. It is so hard that you may think it is an Opposite Thread Screw.
When tightening the Torque wrench, after temporarily tightening the nut to get the proper tension of the chain, put the gear in first gear and insert a hexagonal wrenchetc. between the teeth of the Drive and Driven and the chain. Please refer to this page.

Easier and quicker to order from Japan than Europe!
I was very sceptical about ordering via webike however I could not find this particular part anywhere but the USA or Japan. I took the gamble with Japan and I have been very impressed, not only can you track your order whilst it's in Japan but it also works with Royalmail, ordered on the 16, processed on the 17, delivered to my door on the 20th. I don't usually leave reviews and after all this is just a front sprocket but it's Japanese quality not rubbish from their neighbours. Afraid to say it Europe but I'm going to start my searches with Webike first from now on. View detail

A product that is sure to be highly durable
■Why did you choose it?
The main riding style is 500-700Km long per touring, with occasional driving events.
Therefore, durability was desired, and since the front is particularly subject to strong loads, steel was selected instead of aluminum, and made in Sunstar because of its renowned high roundness.
■Use it!
The OEM of ZEPHYR400X is 16T.
This is the second time the product has been replaced with the same product.
It was sure to be highly durable. (ManufacturerSpecifications says durability:10,000 to 30,000 km)
It was replaced after about 20,000 km, but the degree of wear of the teeth was as shown in the photo, and it was still in good condition with plenty of room to spare.
Since Chain passed away first, I had no choice but to use Quantity for both front and back this time.:Set to replace it
■COSPA
The unit price itself is not so different compared to OEM, so the cost performance is good.
■An aside
Sprocket (back and forth), Chain is 3Quantity when exchanging any of them.:I still think it is a good idea to replace it with a Set.
Also, do not build a structure that is unbalanced, with only the Sprocket having high durability, or only the Chain having high durability,
I think we need to choose.
If you buy a durable Sprocket and the Chain is cheap, you will have to throw away the Sprocket that is still usable by exchanging the Chain first, which is a bit of a waste.
Based on my experience of replacing them, I think it would be better to determine the durability of the Sprocket first, and then choose the Chain accordingly.
If you choose Steel's high durability Sprocket, Chain should also be high durability, Material:If you choose Sprocket in Aluminum, Chain is also available.
Cost performance will improve overall when Balance is considered, such as by using LightSpec.
(I think the most Cost is the high durability Spec.)
