HONDA XLR BAJA
It was based on the XLR, and had an off-road racer style dual headlight that had a unique guard bar. It was favorably supported by many touring riders. -
HONDA XR250
Its dry-sump type newly designed OHC 4-valve engine was the first model of its series to adopt a self starter. The design of the chassis was also renewed. -
HONDA XLX250R
By adopting a hemispherical RFVC (Radial Four Valve Combustion Chamber) which placed its 4 valves in a radial pattern, and a dual carburetor system, it drastically raised its power compared to the former XL-R. -
HONDA XR250 MOTARD
It was the first HONDA's commercially sold motard bike, based on the XR250. It inherited the RFVC air-cooled single engine and the inverted front fork. -
HONDA XR BAJA
Same as the XR, it newly adopted the self starter system. It adopted a Φ 41mm cartridge type front fork and renewed its suspension parts. -
YAMAHA XS250
It was the succeeding model of the GX which mounted a new engine that had a DOHC head. It was equipped with a YICS and a balancer, and its rear suspension had been upgraded into a mono-cross type. -
YAMAHA XS250S
A bikini cowl was installed and its maximum output had been raised by 3PS. It had a semi-air type front fork, and had its suspension system upgraded. -
YAMAHA XS250 SPECIAL
Though it mounted the same engine as the S250, it slightly reduced its peak power to make it easy to handle. The body components were designed in line with 400, the permanent model type. -
YAMAHA XT250
XT250 was the first YAMAHA 4-stroke 250cc dual purpose model. It pursued maneuverability for off-road use with its light and compact body. -
YAMAHA XT250T
Its DOHC engine had a compact cylinder head and adopted the YDIS (Yamaha Dual Intake System) that featured two types of carburetors. It had a new link type mono-cross rear suspension.
