The Ninja900 4-cylinder engine was downsized to half and mounted on this cruiser model. It was a chopper style model that had a stepped seat. It pursued a comfortable cruising performance. -
KAWASAKI ELIMINATOR 400SE/LX
It adopted a double disc brake to its front and a shock absorber unit with a reservoir tank to its rear, and reinforced its drive system. The LX model with spoke wheels was also released at the same time. -
KAWASAKI ZXR400/R
The R model was the homologation version of the ZXR400. It was remodeled with a cross transmission to participate in the SP racing. Ones with the "SP" logo on the under cowl is the R model. -
SUZUKI BANDIT 400
This model was based on the GSX-R400R, and had its performance level upgraded at its practical rpm range. It was a glamorous naked model that had a conspicuous beautiful frame. -
SUZUKI BANDIT 400/V
It underwent a full model change after 6 years, and got a completely new body. The V model was equipped with a VC engine with a variable valve timing system. -
SUZUKI BANDIT 400V/Limited
Its VC engine shifted the valve timing and the lift amount at approximately 9000 rpm, and brought out both mid-low speed torque and high rotation power. A limited edition with a cowl was also added in August. -
SUZUKI BANDIT 400V/VZ
The V model had a VC engine that shifted its valve timing and lift amount at 8000rpm. Ones with a bikini cowl was the VZ model. It changed its color in April, and adopted a 3D emblem.
