It was developed as an export model, and mounted a 550cc engine on the 400 frame. It demonstrated a powerful ride that greatly exceeded that of 400. It was characterized by its front double disc brake. -

It was the high grade model of the Z4ooLTD-II. Its thick stepped seat and a pull back handlebar made the ride comfortable. The power specification was the same as 550FX. -
YAMAHA XZ550

The export model 550 was converted into the D-spec with a cowl to have it brought to the Japanese market. Even though its power had went down a bit, its torque had been raised. It traveled in a sufficient manner. -
SUZUKI GS550
The export model 550 was brought to the Japanese market. It had a body 27kg lighter than the 750. It was the only model of that class to have a 6-speed transmission. It boasted of having a high maneuverability and power performance. -
SUZUKI GS550E
Based on the GS550 type II with front double discs, it adopted star-shaped cast wheels and a rear disc brake. It was the upper grade model. -

YAMAHA XJR1300
For this model, the engine bore of the XJR1200 was enlarged by 2mm. The cylinder was made sleeveless by having ceramic composite plate processing. It improved its cooling effect and also reduced its weight. -
