It mounted a narrowed angle V-twin engine which had 3-valve & 2-plug per one cylinder and a phase crankshaft. Its main and sub fuel tank secured 12.5R.

The development was proceeded by discarding the general idea of displacement classification and returning to the starting point of being the on-road sport motorcycle of the next generation.

It was the biggest off-road model in the Japanese market in those days. Its base model was the export version of the TT500 enduro. The engine has been taken over by SR.

The upper, middle and under cowls were each independent and were attached together. Its short exhaust with a variant cross section was placed to provide sufficient banking angle.
