Yoshimura Japan has started to sell Yoshimura Kyoto-style Japanese fans in the concept of “elegantly sophisticated.” Chic Kyoto-style folding fans — Yoshimura has conducted all phases from the material selection and design to packaging. A long-established shop in Kyoto with the history of 1200 years has produced the fans, mainly using Japanese materials. The name of “Kyoto-style Japanese fan” is allowed to use only for a fan that craftspeople in Kyoto assemble. The price is 7,000 Yen (excluding tax).

What is Kyoto-style Japanese fan ?

Kyoto-style Japanese fan is a fan of which all processes are conducted in Japan, mainly in Kyoto. There are more than 80 processes before a folding fan is completed: creating ribs and fan, painting, assembling and so on. Since most of the processes are manually produced and require much experience, all processes are divided into small work so that craftspeople show their skills.

Features

1.The silk material of the fan is distinctively and beautifully shiny. It has various faces depending on the angle it is seen.
2.Outer two ribs of the folding fan coated with luster. They have a premium feel. Yoshimura logo is marked by laser processing.
3.Fan bag, made in the same silk as the fan, is included.
4.Come with Premium paulownia box.
