YOSHIMURA is a company that designs, produces and sells motorcycle parts. The company has just released the ”WIND ARMOR” series which offers custom parts.
First in line is a windshield for naked model ”GSX-S1000” that is scheduled to be released in August 2016. Products will grow in number to correspond to various models.

Made with Particular Polycarbonate Resin

The ”WIND ARMOR” windshield from YOSHIMURA is made from Polycarbonate Resin. Windshields that are available for after parts are usually made from Acrylic Resin but this one is especially made from Polycarbonate Resin which requires complicated temperature control when molding. The reason why Polycarbonate Resin is used is to achieve the rider’s safety when riding on public roads.

Functions

The windshield features a three dimensional design considering aerodynamics and offers excellent wind flowing effects. This will play an important role in minimizing the rider’s stress.
By combining a screen that has enhanced rigidity together with special brackets, the windshield will offer steady view with low deflection even when the vehicle is running at high speed.
Results are not only based on numerical analysis but actual run tests have been made to pursue sensory effects.

A vigorous screen that doesn’t interfere with vision. The graphite color will reduce reflection of the road surface and offer awesome features.
”YOSHIMURA WIND ARMOR” logos are laser marked on the screen.

Material/Quality

The material used for the screen is Polycarbonate Resin which is used for optical use for its high transparency.
To increase surface hardness, the screen is coated on both sides with acrylic hard coating. It will improve intensity and reduce flaws. Brackets are finished with Cerakote finish which offers high durability.

Polycarbonate Resin is not only strong against shocks but has high flexibility and is splinterless. It will minimize the danger that the rider faces against fragments of the screen.
