DUCATI announced the launch of new models for 2017 at the INTERMOT Motorcycle Show held at Cologne, Germany from 4 to 9 October, 2016. The new line-up includes the SuperSport model that has been long-awaited by fans.
The SuperSport has been designed for riders who prefer sports bikes that offers comfortable and smooth agile handling on a daily basis. It adopts Ducati’s sports features and DNA to offer an easy to use exciting machine that corresponds to all occasions.
At the 2016 Milan Motorcycle Show scheduled to be held in November, Ducati will be presenting new models for the coming year. Finally we will be able to get the whole picture. The presentation will be webcasted throughout the world via live streaming.
The following is from the press release.
Offering Sports Elegance Anywhere Any Time
A lean and mean road machine with a decidedly approachable feel thanks to easy handling, the confidence-inspiring Ducati Safety Pack (Bosch ABS + Ducati Traction Control), the awesome price-quality ratio of the equipment and the long maintenance intervals.
The SuperSport unleashes 113 hp at maximum torque with its Testastretta 11 degrees 937cc engine.
The Sport, Touring and Urban Riding Modes act on the Ride-by-Wire, the Ducati Quick Shift up/down and the ABS and DTC parameters to modify the behavior of the bike and adapt it to individual riding style.
Agile on urban roads, comfortable on the motorway and decisive when faced with out-of-town hairpin turns, the SuperSport combines comfort and versatility.
The Plexiglas screen, adjustable in height up 50 mm, ensures the right aerodynamic protection at higher speeds. This, together with the autonomy guaranteed by the 16 liter tank, amplifies the touring attitude of the SuperSport, making it an entertaining travel companion even on medium-range trips.
The SuperSport S is for the riders who appreciate the value of high-spec componentry. The “S” version is standardly mounted with Öhlins fully adjustable suspension, Ducati Quick Shift and Rear Seat cover that can optionally mounted to the standard model.
