Triumph’s new Bonneville Bobber, a motorcycle that offers the new direction of the liquid-cooled Bonneville series, was unveiled on October 19 at “The Printworks Venue” in London.

Meet the New Bonneville Bobber!

Many superstars, motorcycle journalists and celebrities from around the world, including seven-times world champion Carl Fogarty, three-times world champion Freddie Spencer, and Michael Krumm the professional racing driver also famous in Japan, had gathered to witness this special launching event.

With a live headline set by NME award-winners The Vaccines and DJ Harriet Rose, the warehouse venue was filled with an eclectic mix of Indie rock and the sound of pure Bonneville hot rods racing.

The new Bonneville Bobber is scheduled to make its European debut at the EICMA show in Milan on November 8th, 2016. The sales launch in Japan is yet to be decided.

Brutally Beautiful, the Genuine Bonneville Hot Rod

The new Bonneville Bobber is a new premium custom motorcycle to be added to the Bonneville family. The new Bonneville Bobber inherits the true “Triumph Bobber custom style” developed in the 1940s. It perfectly encapsulates the minimalistic styling principles, muscular stance and purposeful engineering attitude of a genuine custom Bobber.

Stripping the Bonneville T120 back to its purest essence, it features clean lines, low and long style, single seat, wide flat bars, minimal bodywork and headlight, sculpted fuel tank, wire spoked wheels, wide rear wheel, and its important hard tail look.

Its stunning features also include an authentic battery box with a stainless steel strap, bar end peep mirrors, rear fender bracket, twin throttle bodies that are reminiscent of a carburetor, wide adjustable handlebars, standard rubber fork boots, classic drum brake style rear hub, newly designed side panel, and sprocket cover with removable cap for inspection.

The Bonneville Bobber has a number of premium finishing such as the special bronze 1200HT engine badge, the famous triangle Triumph mark, brushed engine covers, the tank cap with Triumph logo, brushed engine covers, or silver satin and graphite handlebar risers. They all come together to create a high quality look that’s totally authentic.

Engineering Innovation

The Bonneville Bobber is the first model of its class to adopt the adjustable riding position. The seat is optimized based on the human engineering principle and can be tailored to suit the size and riding style of the rider. The position of the specially designed seat can be adjusted. If the seat is set to a low position, the seat height can be lowered down till 690mm. It can suit the riding position of all riders.

Pleasant Ride & Sound

It mounts the category-leading high-torque 1200cc engine, same as the Bonneville T120. The twin airbox system, exclusively developed for the Bonneville Bobber to improve the ride feel to its maximum level, comes with a unique intake/exhaust device and a new output shaft.

Ride-By-Wire
The ride-by-wire system brings a better ride performance, ride feel, safety, and control to the Bonneville.

Riding Mode
Linked to the ride-by-wire system, the Bobber has two selectable riding modes: ROAD and RAIN. The two throttle maps can be selected via the handlebar mounted switch housing, and the map will assure its best control and safety for each riding condition.

ABS
Mounts the latest anti-lock braking system. While improving its safety and control level, the new Bobber keeps the system as its hidden away technology to make it look compact.

Switchable Traction Control
The new Bobber incorporates a switchable traction control system in its meter to maximize the rider’s safety and control.

Torque-Assist Clutch
The torque-assist clutch system reduces the clutch lever effort of the rider. Since the rider requires just a light touch, they can ride longer without getting tired.

LED Rear Light
The rear light melts in with the Bobber’s classic design. It provides a distinctive light pattern for greater power efficiency and better visibility.

Engine Immobilizer
The immobilizer is incorporated to its new key with a Triumph badge.

Stylish Meter
The feature-packed high quality meter comes with a smart digital menu system which can be operated with fingertips while riding.
