The descendant of VanVan which ruled the world in 1970’s came back to alive with injections. The style of this motorcycle always soothes our minds. I rode on it and started the engine. Thanks to the injection, it started in a moment. I appreciate this function more in accordance with the frequency of the use of the motorcycle.
It goes unexpectedly smooth from low range to mid-high range. This new model definitely speeds up better than the previous one. It is not that easy to ride it at the high speed as to be expected of 200cc, but it makes me feel so good when the speed of the engine rotation picks up smoothly. Newly adopted chrome cylinders and a oil cooler improve its reliability. I bet you can stick to this new style nearly forever.
It used to wear thick tires, so I often felt anxious about brakes or riding curves. However, this new VanVan is very easy to handle and the brake works great as long as I go with the normal speed. It turns very well even in “lean with” position, and there is no issues about effectiveness of the brake or riding the curves. I rather think you do not want to lean in or lean out if you are not skilled enough. The handling is very light, so you do not want to press the handle unconsciously.
If you want to raise your profile with the style different from others, this is definitely the one you want go with. Stock condition or Customized, whichever you like.

New VanVan is wearing fat tires with 130mm (front) x 180mm (rear), Dunlop K180 which once dominated the world.The tuck rolled seat is gradually raised and offers retro taste. Small speed meter which is offset reminds me dirt tracker model.
Wearing Dunlop K180. Single disk brake. 136mm travel monoshock is installed on the rear. Swingarm is 540mm long.
Original chrome cylinder with high cooling efficiency is adopted with OHC2 valve unit. The newest model has an injection for intaking air. It also has a catalyst in the exhaust.
Simply designed meter is small sized and its white panel improves its visibility.
Seat has a good cushion and a proper thickness for a comfortable ride. It features tuck roll and piping.
Although we cannot ignore the fact that the vehicle dry mass of the new model is only 121kg, the low seat of 770mm will make you more comfortable than riding a 250cc scooter because your feet can touch the ground without any problems. The height and the width of the handle is perfectly set, so it is suitable for a laid back, easy ride.
