Thailand’s female idol group “BNK48” to “Coca-Cola “Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race has been decided.

BNK48 was appointed to “Thailand Team Cheer Leader in Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race”.

Suzuka Circuit announced that members of the female idol group “BNK48”, which based in Bangkok, Thailand, will visit to the 40th “Coca-Cola” Suzuka 8 Hour Endurance Race that will be held from July 27th (Thu) to 30th (Sun).

The Suzuka 8 Hour Endurance Race started in 1978 will be the 40th tournament in 2017, and this season, it will be held as the final round of the FIM World Endurance Championship Series.

This year marks the 130th anniversary from the signing of the Japan-Thailand Friendship Declaration. As part of that celebration project, BNK 48 was appointed “Thailand Team Cheer Leader in Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race” to support the Thailand rider who will participate in this race. Two people of JAN and NAM-SAI will visit Suzuka Circuit.

Thai-related riders and teams are Ratthapong Wilairot participating in the Suzuka 8 hour endurance road race, and the A. P. Honda Racing Thailand team that is composed of Thailand riders who will participate in the Suzuka 4 Hour Endurance Road Race to be held together.

JAN and NAM – SAI are scheduled to appear in the event stage to be held at the GP Square special stage, etc. during the tournament.

BNK 48 is an idol group based in Bangkok, Thailand, which was established in February 2017 as a sister group of AKB48.

They are 30 members idol group of the first-generation, including 2 Japanese members (Miori Okubo who passed in audition and Rina Izuta who was completely transferred from AKB 48), and working on various projects as a mediator between Japan and Thailand.
