Genuine Puig Hi-Tech Racing Grips
These grips were purchased for a customer who wanted a little more bling on their bike. The copper colour was the one they wanted. Searching Webike and found these fairly easily and at a better cost than I could source locally. With a few other small parts already in my basket, I got all shipped with my chosen courier which is of course EMS. They just get the orders delivered fast and I mean fast. Thsi all arrived in 5 days from being shipped which you cannot argue about. The grips themselves came in the standard Puig packet/box and were also covered in bubble wrap to keep them safe. The colour is more true to a copper than I would say orange but as it happened, this worked perfectly with the colour scheme of the bike anyway, win win. I personally have never tried this style of grips but once fitted, they do feel alright. I have to say though, the finish and quality of these are absolutely awesome. I had a lot of trouble with Monokey, Mono-lock, and capacity, but settled on MonokeyV40.
The deciding factors were the price, which is less than 20,000 yen for a Monokey, and the perfect large size.
In terms of capacity, there is a little room for a Helmet and Rain Coat.
As for the helmet, the X14 XL fits perfectly when placed horizontally, and the lid will close even when placed upright. (If you want to place it upright, change the orientation of the helmet.)
The Mirror position of the GSX1300R HAYABUSA is low and the box is rather high, so I was worried about the reflection on the Mirror, but the V40 is narrow and the edge of the box is only slightly visible.
I am not dissatisfied, but the box is attached to the rear side, so the overall length is longer, and I have to be careful when backing up.

Matching like an OEM

We wanted to keep the height as low as possible, so we installed the Universal type Monokey base on the FORZAOEM Carrier, and it was installed as low as we wanted it to be.
I have not been able to find a Universal type Monokey base from Daytona. Webig does not sell them, but GIVI does, so I looked elsewhere.
I did not need a bracket in two places, and in the other two places, I connected the bracket with a slight slant.
Since the Monokey base is large, the Bolt connection with the Carrier was made as wide as possible to ensure good balance.
The Bolt threads do not reach the Nut loosening stop due to the lack of length of the Bolt in this diagonal section. (Bolt will be replaced again).
