I felt that the front suspension of my 2017 vSTROM650 was getting worn out after 40,000 km, and I was dissatisfied with the NORMAL suspension because it was not supple enough to begin with, so I decided to take the plunge and replace it.
I am an amateur, but I lifted up the body of the car by myself, removed the oil from the top, and then removed the spring from the top and installed it.
The work was simple, but the front fork cap was hard and unstable, so it was difficult to do and took about three hours.
After the replacement, they are more supple and softer than the normal ones, and the road surface tracking performance has improved and the ride quality is better.
If I wanted, I would prefer to have an adjustable function even if the price is higher, but even as it is, it is much better than NORMAL.
If the Spring becomes worn out after several tens of thousands of kilometers, it will be replaced with the same one.
(As a side note, I was so impressed with the improvement of the Front that I installed a suspension from Bird's in the Rear as well. It is also much better than OEM)
Even just by replacing the suspension, the suspension is improved and absorbs the impact of rough roads, and is stable even at high speeds.

I changed to XADVFront suspension. I was on my way back from a test drive immediately after the replacement in the rain, but the fine vibration transmitted to my hand felt hard at first, but even on a rough road surface, it did not rattle strongly and only fine vibrations were transmitted to my hand. Unfortunately, it was raining, but thanks to feeling this fine vibration, I could feel the grips even on the rainy Corner, and I was able to drive through without anxiety. After that, I went on a touring trip to Hokkaido and drove about 1,300 km, and what I felt was that there are many places where the road surface is quite rough with small cracks and small sinkholes even on seemingly clean paved road surfaces as a characteristic of paved roads in snowy areas. However, we are not always subjected to strong shocks, but only to minor vibrations. [Color] I have the impression that the car cleared the road. So, even on rough road surfaces in the latter half of the touring, I can pass through them without any worries, without trying to avoid them, so I feel very safe. I feel that it is a little inferior to the very smooth impression of the BP suspension that was used for the front of my Triumph T100 before, but I cannot deny that there are parts that feel hard due to the transmission of fine vibration, but the vibration is not angular, and because of that, I feel that I can lean with confidence even on corners. However, the vibration is not angular, and the driver can lean with confidence even in cornering. I'm glad I changed

After purchasing the rear spring, I also replaced the front spring.
I installed it with the oil level setting140mm as shown in the Instruction Manual, but the front fork became considerably softer. the face of the NORMAL foot disappears completely.
It will be a stable ride in town, touring, and high speed. One point is that the deceleration zone uses the part of the initial contraction of Spring, so it will shake a lot. You need to get used to it or be patient, but overall it is much better than NORMAL!

I installed it in the MODEL just after it became an indie ection of VTR250.
The best thing about this product is that it is designed specifically for your car model, so if you follow the instruction manual and do the installation work properly, you will get a decent setting in no time.
However, in this case, you need to adjust the pre-road of the rear suspension to get the balance with the front suspension to get a good driving experience!
However, if you just build the front, it will be difficult to drive because it will be too forward and backward.
