HO131 OHLINS Rear Suspension Legend-Twin
Honestly was expecting more from it, took it to a suspension shop to tune to my spec, is it worth 1400 Aud, approximately 300 Aud FeDex and about 300 Aud custom clearance? Maybe. Looks nice, I had a couple of good Ohlins shocks on my track bikes which offered more adjustment and when acceleration it is night and day difference, but the category of this bike is still a more naked/sport touring bike, maybe my mindset is wrong, rode about 200kms now, I have done: heavy, sharp, smooth acceleration, top speed, low speed, stoppies, some twisties, did not meet my performance level exception, but again, maybe Ohlins intentionally wants more comfort rather than performance? Great looking tho, texture and everything up to Ohlins standard, this is just a short term review, who knows, maybe the setting for currently is all wrong, might have to tune it again. Will write a long term experience later but currently that's how I feel. View detail

The danger of NORMAL is gone.

I saw it changed to OHLINS, which I had longed for.
I had underestimated the value of the OHLINS when I bought my Sioux Four. I had been planning to install them since I bought the Sioux Four just because of the brand and the look, but I thought they were too expensive and that changing them wouldn't make much difference anyway.
Dumping is still a bit of pulling out, but I was impressed the moment I straddled the Motorcycle, it felt as soft as Mono Suspension OHLINS.
I went out to the usual test ride mountain pass and went out to the half bank from Breaking with great Winding and great peace of mind, even though the Tire is cold. I have changed from the front fork to the Wheel Axle, but this is the most impressive part among them.

I used it for about 5 years, so I have a calm perspective, not Tension at the time of purchase.
Is it time for an Overhaul?
There has never been any oil leakage, so I guess it is a bite piece.
The ride is supple and comfortable.
Tire bites into the road surface.
The problem is Upper Rubber Bush and End eye.
The UpperBush is fragile and will run out in less than a year.
Availability of Bush parts Single Body is very poor.
You can't get it on webike, and you can't get it at those Motorcycle stores or supply stores.
Since we had no choice, we obtained a DURACONBush from a certain place, modified it, and installed it.
The end eye is also Rubber, so it will become distorted after long-term use.
In SF, Clearance is Limit, so if it is distorted, it will come in contact with the base of the Mount and be scraped.
This one is also not available in parts.
If you send it to Overhaul, the Parts cost will be so high that it is hard to believe that it is Rubber Bush.
Since the end eye of GRANDTWIN is a Pillow ball, I asked LabCaro if I could purchase this as a part, but he said that he does not sell this as well. However, they said that they do not sell them either. They also said that there are not many cases like this and that it would be a little troublesome at the time of overhaul if non-standard parts are installed.
I had a selfish image of OHLINS as being more flexible and capable of various customizations, but this was not the case at all, which is a bit disappointing.
Incidentally, the distortion of the end eye returns when it is seared with a heat gun.

Unassuming Design
When I changed the suspension of GSX1100S to 18-inches, I also changed the R suspension.
I was worried about the suspension of other companies, but I chose OHLINS because of the design! 。
I use it mainly for touring, but I feel like I can turn the line I aim at comfortably. 。

I pushed myself a bit and bought LEGENDTWIN.
My SR has had the suspension replaced with an XJR400.
It used to have a decades old White power suspension.
You can see the difference from the moment you start driving!
To be honest, I was Big Surprised.
The White power suspension must have been old and had oil seepage and movement problems.
I felt like I was conveying the ruts of Asphalt in a very Large exaggerated way.
I changed the suspension to OHLINS suspension and it became very smooth driving feeling even though the road condition is the same.
It makes all the difference in the pain in my butt after a long run.

Other than the exterior, it's perfect.
I use it for KATANA which I own jointly with my brother. If it were possible, I would have preferred a more refreshing look without the reserver tank, but my brother chose it after testing it on Circuit, so I just went with it. Performance beyond what I thought
I attempted to exchange it myself, but because I have only Side Stand, I can not Lift Rear. I asked for a replacement to the neighbors' shop and finished with cheap wages of 3,000 yen. Absolutely large sense of security
Until now I used OEM KYB, but because I changed the Swingarm and it got high rigidity, I got rid of the thrust up badly in OEM and replaced it so I exchanged it.
I had a hard time till setting out, but after setting out my favorite setting, I can feel the contact area of ??Tire with ass. It's as if it's still a limit. I feel like Motorcycle tells us to open more (Expression is junior high school student Level). Even in the place where the road surface is rough, Dumping performance is excellent, so it supple supple.
The price is expensive, but I think that the cost effectiveness is high.

My 1981 Suzuki GSX1100S Katana stock suspension is long gone. This OHLINS suspension fit well. Quality the usual Ohlins standard. Comes with Japanese and English brochure and instructions. There is only 3 clicks for Compression. Factory brochure recommend

There is only 3 clicks for Compression. Factory brochure recommends 2 clicks for compression and 12 clicks for Rebound. I weigh 85kg. Have not figure out what is the best adjustment yet but first impression ride is firm and with better stability especially when going around a bumpy corner. More predictable control and more forgiving to my lower back. Might need to adjust the height higher. I got the one with black spring for the classic look rather than Yellow springs. View detail
