NHKSteering Damper MONKEY88cc
I was running 75cc without Steering Damper at first, but I was afraid to ride because of the swelling of the handlebar after 50km. "Reliable" I did View detail

This is a replacement for Minimoto's Steering damper.
I think the load is quite strong.
For those who use Minimoto's Steering damper and are not satisfied with it.

Mounting on HORNET 250
Installed on HORNET250.
I was afraid that the handlebar would shake in ruts during high-speed cornering, but after installing it, it became stable and I was no longer afraid. Some people say that it is not effective for city driving, but I think it depends on the type of car you install it on.
I am satisfied with both the appearance and performance.

Then when you get some Speed out of it.
Handlebar is starting to swing out. (In the case of my MONKEY) 。
This is where the Stealing Damper comes in.
NHK when I was riding my past mid-size Motorcycle.
I trusted Damper because it worked so well.
After installation, I immediately ran a test run and found that the handlebar did not run out of alignment.
It subsided beautifully, and we were able to patrol the streets comfortably and safely.
You can now

Vibration reduction
Touring on the highway, there was enough vibration to make Mirror invisible at high speeds, but after installing the Steering damper, the vibration was reduced considerably and the numbness in my hands almost disappeared.
Although there may be individual differences, the front of the Cornering has a greater sense of ground contact and rigidity, and the Front and Frame have less "RoseRose" behavior, resulting in Cornering with a sense of unity.
Some people don't like to break up the style of old cars, but it is a recommendation because it reduces the fatigue of touring.

Seems like a necessity.
I purchased this product to prevent the Stain- phenomenon, but the effect is very large.
Handlebar is also much less heavy than I expected.
Slight modification to the Fuel PumpCover is required for installation.

NHK Damper
I bought this to install on my Kawasaki Z125 pro. There's no suitable bracket for this bike so, I need to customize it. Stability was immediately noticed once installed. For such a small bike, I need to adjust to the maximum at top speed. Overall, this is a very good damper. View detail
Steering Damper
I used M Moto's Steering damper in the past, but it was dangerous because of its reluctance to move, so I thought I'd try something else!
It looks crappy (pardon the pun), but it's comfortable to use!

Kawasaki W650 99-year vehicle When an 80-km or more speed was gathered, the car body swayed right and left and was also seldom able to take out the highway very dreadfully.
Then, when the purchase attachment (although it was unclear description about 1.5H completion) run of this kit was carried out, tracking improved like a lie in former.
I think that a speed can be gathered to the full even if high-speed now.
It was very good shopping.

Excellent stability
[How is it used?
Since I do a lot of touring on highways, I decided to install a steering damper to improve high speed stability. The product is FZ400. (4YR) It is for the FZS600, but it can also be used with the FZS600 without any problem.
Was the one you received as per Image?
The color of the DamperBody is Gold, which is like an OHLINS color. It's not a color that I don't like, but I would have preferred the ODM-2000 Series Gun meta color to match the body color, but I'm a little disappointed that I can't choose the color.
Was the installation difficult?
I adjusted the position of the bracket on the front fork side to be 40mm above the trifecta (the instruction manual specifies 51mm). Also, the pillow ball joint between the bracket on the damper body and the bracket on the frame side moves too much and makes a pushing noise when the damper body moves up and down. So, I inserted an O-Ring of an appropriate size into the pillow ball part to suppress the movement of the DamperBody. I also applied screw lock fluid to all the bolts used for installation and fixed them in place.
How was your experience with it?
Originally, I installed the Steering Damper for stability at high speed straight ahead, but I didn't expect that it would stabilize my posture while cornering and make cornering easier.
There are 7 levels of damper switching, but even with the 7th level, which is the heaviest, I didn't feel any inconvenience even when driving in the city. I usually use the 6th gear.
Initially I was going to use ODM-2000 in Gun meta color, but I changed Handlebar to Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) I measured the amount of movement (Strokes) when cutting to 125mm in advance, so the Strokes were 125mm.:I decided that I might not be able to use the 120mm ODM-2000, so I purchased the Stroke 130mm ODM-3000. When I actually installed it on the car body, I found that if I devised a way to install it, it would be possible to use the Stroke:I felt like I could use Limit even with the 120mm ODM-2000.
[Included Parts:were they on?
All the necessary parts for installation are included.
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
It would be nice to have a choice of several colors for the damper body, and it's a little disappointing that when the damper is mounted on the car body, more than half of it is obscured by the Inner cover of the Upper Cowl.
Other items that would be helpful
Point and hang/notes for installation:It is better to install it on the car body in a temporary state to check the position of each bracket and make sure there is no problem with the movement of the Handlebar before tightening the Bolt.
Items to buy together:I think it is safer to use a low-strength screw lock fluid to secure the Bolt.

Although it was a compact size steering damper, it was effective enough.
The InstructionManual for installation is not well explained and the printed photos are white and black, making it even more difficult to understand. (Lol)
I didn't have to worry about it, but I thought it would be better to have a good grasp of the mounting position and installation method before working on it.
As mentioned in the other reviewer's review, the old NHK Damper was so solid that it would not move when set to the highest load position, but the current Parts are designed for safety. But nowadays, the Damper is so solid that it doesn't move when it is set to the highest load position. (From the point of view of someone who knows the past products) It moves so smoothly that it seems to be missing something.
On the contrary, it moved smoothly even in the high load position, which made me uneasy, so I had to go back and forth to the place where the road surface condition was bad on the way to work, where the stain was always generated, to check if the steering damper was working properly.
The weakest state where the load is not applied is the same as the state where the steering damper is not equipped, etc. From the weakest state, 2Notch and 3Notch are set in the middle position, but in many road conditions, sufficient effect was obtained at this point.
In the places where Stain was the most frequent and mentally demanding, I had to load up the 1NotchDamper even more to get a sense of relief.
Still, I am very happy with the purchase of this product, as it will free me from the Handlebar Stain that has been plaguing me since I bought my W800, just by adding the Parts.

For vehicle body rigidity.
After all, if you buy an old car body, the rattle is too much…
Because Front gets out of control at every road Gap.
I refurbished the suspension on the Fork, and while I was at it.
The anxiety factor has been resolved, hasn't it?
However, Handling is a little heavier.
good point
The influence by the road surface Gap is reduced.
Installation is easy.
●Manufacturer's trust is high and the texture is good.
You will not get tired even when you travel long distances such as touring.
A bad point
Handling is heavy.
I don't think it makes sense for newer bodies, but I think it works well for older bodies.
How about it for the sake of the body?

Stable NHK
NHK was used in NSR from the time of the student without Ogold.
I can't afford to buy OHLINS, you know.
So I bought it to use again this time from a sense of stability and security.
The Installation Instruction Manual is as confusing as the rest of the Review, although it was funny to see that it's still a picture.
The installation itself is easy, so if you know how it works, it's easy even without the manual.

This is the answer we came up with in our search for straight-line stability.
I've done a lot of strengthening around the front, such as replacing the front fork with Overhaul and Hyper pro Spring.
The handling is good and the damper performance has improved, but I thought the straight line stability was not enough and introduced the Steering Damper.
good point
The straight line stability is better, and I am not afraid of cruising at 100km/h.
It will be the final balance of spring reinforcement. Not only the stability of the straight run, but also the handling, the road surface Gap, etc. become considerably better. If it is said by analogy, it feels like standing upright & rarr; inverted.
The quality of NHK products is good.
A bad point
It's expensive. But I think it's natural because I can get that much performance.
If you are worried about the stiffness of the front end, and you are not satisfied with the results after the spring reinforcement, oil viscosity change, etc., we recommend the Steering Damper as an auxiliary tool. We will commit to the result.

Could be good.
First time I bought and installed a new one, I thought Steering Damper was a naysayer and more of a Demerit.
However, I installed it after hesitating this time. Because it was always shaken by Cornering when I ran the mountain pass road in the summer when I said why I put it on, improvement of it. It is because I saw the impression that I installed it to TRX of Normal fork of AAA in the past.
I haven't run it on the mountain roads yet, but I've been using it on the lowest setting in town and the Fee Ring is good. What I could feel especially is UTurn
It was easy to do because it didn't fall down strangely. I think it will be good on the mountain road, but the impression will be later.
As for the installation, the positioning is very Large strange.Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) Damper Stroke to Quantity with full lock.:Pair (for Left and Right) Both to the equal etc.
It was a bit of a trick to get it to fit without hitting the Cowl Bracket or Frame.
The height of the DamperBody was also specified to be around 110mm, but it became about 117mm. Also, DamperBody should not be torqued too much.
I tightened it loosely as it made no sense. It might be better to leave the installation to the expert.

It's nice
It doesn't make sense on ordinary roads, but it's a powerful tool on mountain roads, bypasses and highways.
It's on and there's a Merit, but not a Demerit, so it's a Recommendation.

Installation was a breeze
I'm installing a WPSteering Damper on the GORILLA, so I'm not going to be able to do this one I bought a Steering Damper designated by NHK MONKEY I'd like to say the installation was easy, but I'd like to change the orientation of the mounting bracket once I thought it was a mistake, but I was able to install it right away
The performance of the steering damper body is good, and it has 6 levels of damper strength The only problem is that the damper attachment part can be fixed with a rubber bush Installation accuracy is now 3 points
When you are touring on the main road and follow the flow of the car, the 8Inch of MONKEY will help you to get Gap is a little less scary now
