Incidentally, 0WB7 is a development code used within Yamaha to indicate the vehicle in question.. The main sponsor of "B7" was Shiseido's men's cosmetics "TECH 21" sold at the time.. In '85, he was running at the top of the standings but suffered engine trouble with 30 minutes to go before the finish line and retired.. In 1987, we won the championship, but we could not deny that it was due to the enemy's negligence.. As TECH 21+Yamaha, we want an overwhelming victory at any cost........ The "B7" featured in the next issue of this magazine was created for this purpose..
Two consecutive victories in the '87-'88 season, and the '89 season in which all the cars retired.. A PRO JECT LEADER from that time looks back on the Race before '90 and talks about the reverse side of its technological development.. It was a foreshadowing of the victory in 1990, including its merits and demerits........ A highly readable manuscript written as a "memoir" of reflections by an Engineer!.
